Walt achieve goals we set for ourselves

In this photo you can see my three goals I set for myself these goals are to be at the year 8 / 8+ standard, to get better at my maths and to get work finished on time. I think I am doing well with these goals because I am getting most of my work done on time , I'm getting better at maths and most of my subjects are at the year 8 standard. I think my next step is to get more of my work done on time because this is the goal I am not so good at doing

reading

Walt I can make links across texts by recognising connectives or adverbial clauses

I was learning this because i got this wrong in my asTTle reading test.

This is how you do the strategy. Firstly you need to know what a connective is, a connective is a linking word, the easy word we all use to connect a sentence is. And. there are heaps more e.g then, next, after, when. there are still more but if i list them it would take up the whole blog post. Next you need to know about adverbial clauses. adverbial clauses are harder to understand than connectives. so here is some information about Adverbial clauses.Firstly they don't make sense on their own. Secondly they tell as, how, where, when, how long or why.

Koru games

Over the last three days I have been participating in the koru games, which is a sport tournament that is hold over three days. we had four options of sports, netball , basketball , touch and football. I picked touch. I really enjoyed the second day because we had more games, also we got lollies from Xanthe's mum. Thinking back to the beginning of the year, I really improved on communicating with my team. Something I will remember is almost wining our last game against South new brightion, The school I was going to go to but instead i went to burwood. The school I went to before oaklands

Walt use the visual language features to create a presentation.

I think I am at relational because I completed my career board and showed that I can use the visual language features.

The visual language features are colour, shape, proportion, space, composition and placement.

Maths - use multiplicative strategies

I have been learning this because I got this wrong but now I can do this strategy 

I think I'm at extended abstract because I can do this strategy and teach someone how to do this.

So how do you solve this , easy. So firstly divide 11 by 53 the answer is 4 r 9 now divide 11 by 92 the answer is 8 so the answer is 48 r 4 

My next step is to take a geometry test.

I can interpret metaphor, analogy, and connotative language.

I think I am at relational because I can figure out if the part was missing then what would happen but I have trouble with figuring out what the part function is.

Here is my best paragraph 

As well as a degree in computing or information science, there are some attributes that would help me to become an computer support technician. These include: being honest, hard worker friendly, respectful and happy. Being honest will help me in my job because if I lie I would not get more customer because that person will tell their friends how bad the service was. Being a hard worker is a good attribute because not all stuff will be easy so being a hard work will help me in this job.I would say some of the disposition in this job are resilience and connect. Resilience because some of the technology I would need to fix may be very difficult. Connect because you need to connect to the person you're helping.

Reflection on my goals

At the start of the year I set myself 3 goals these were

My latest test was at the end of the year 8 slandered and at the start of the year 8+

I have almost finished. My maths goal in 3 sessions 

Most of my work is finished on time

-8 / negative 8 is 8 below 0

the numbers will be ordered from least to greatest.

some people get it wrong by saying -12 is greater than -6 this is wrong -6 is greater than -12 because -6 is closer to 0

the way to order these are like this

-43 -15 -9 2 8 11

keep in mind we are ordering least to greatest

Reflection on my school goals

Writing

this is a parody of the book wonder. It's about a kid called August who has a weird face.

I wake up to the sound of silence. Nothing , no one says a word. I Feel like something is wrong. Everyone is usually awake. I Got out of bed to look around, creek goes the wooden floor, still silence. I opened the door , creek goes the door. I put on my bunny slippers. It's really early but it was my birthday. I didn't want to wake anyone up or else I will be in big trouble. Still silence. I walked down the hall trying to be as quite as I can. Daisy my doggy was laying right in the middle of the hallway.

There is just a taste of my story. My strategy is idea's I used feelings and sounds in the text e.g creek and silence.
