for reading i have been reading a book called Castaway. It's a book about a boy named Samuel and how he's on an adventure to find his brother but the boat he is on crashes on to disappointment island.

are there any themes that apply to real life? the answer is yes because the boat crashes and it is based on real life.

so that is some information about my book.

leadership

a couple weeks ago i preformed in the school production i was in the main cast as a extra lady so i sang most of the songs so the back story is that Maurice Mc seventy wasn't invited to lady Evelyn
(her cousins) wedding when people that she hardly new came he very angry so he made an evil cruse voucher and give it to her as her wedding present that would curse the Oaklands kingdom FOREVER But as all evil every curse MUST have a loophole (so the good guys can win in the end) so he kidnapped sir Andrew Andersen the principle of Oaklands so then nothing can stand in his way but it wasn't that easy with guards with minds sharp as a baby's bottom Evelyn had a plan to rescue him

in guitar i am learning how to read notes its very difficult but I'm getting a bit better at it i leaned a new song all locked up for the production i had to learn 2 new chored G6 and D7 so it was different from learning notes but it still is fun

in keyboard i got to page 57 in my book witch is huge i might finish the book by the end
of this year it's getting very hard now because the notes are half a line a part so i have messed up a lot of times this term

in choir we have learned these song : bubbly, bad day and money money money its easy to sing high after the production

peer mediation i have helped 3 people over a couple weeks but it looks like people argrying has stopped

other actives i have done but these are the main 1s at the moment

Writing

I was playing on my laptop when my mom's phone went off. I yelled "Mom your phone is going off!" She ran down the stairs and answers the phone. While she was on the phone I was just playing on my laptop, she stops me; "Sorry Goldilocks, but something has came up at work so I have to go but you can not stay home alone so you can go and sell some COOKIES!"

In writing we have been learning how to punctuation effectively in our writing.

This a paragraph from my writing.

Lately there has been people that are divided over who has a bigger responserbilety consumers or buisness?
Somepeople say consumers because they buy the goods, while others say buisness because they sell the goods.

I think i'm at relational because I know when to punctuatoin in my writing but I don't use harder ones eg semecoloms. I have used coloums but thats for my reasons and objections eg reason 1:

end of term reflection

Its the end of term one and i'm going to reflect on how my learning has been.

The area of my learning that I have made the most progress on is my maths because I didn't know what anything about the topic so I didn't know the answers.

The area I want to improve on next term is my writing because I'm on the right track but I need to get better because I need to get a higher standed on writing.

For writing we have been writing narratives.
here's a sample

It was the morning before my first day ever at and in high school, I was running around the house to get everything ready for the next day. I was so excited the day flow by, I was running to the space were my very last was. I didn't know where it is, I ran around the house to find it. It was missing?

That was my first few lines. I'm so sorry to leave you on a cliff hanger but I didn't want to give too much away.

The law is like rules to a game, if you don't follow them, your not going to have a good time.If you don't follow them you could get a fine,be arested or worst. For example if you got a fine for driving and don't pay it you could get a bigger fine or loss your licent.If you stell you could get a fine or be banned from that shop.

math strategy

For the last few weeks I have been learning a math strategy called use equations to represent a practical situation.I am going to give you 2 example.

f = frogs 24 left there's a hint so the answer is f-24 because f frog left, left = minus - so the answer is f-24

reading strategy

For the last few weeks I have been learning a reading strategy called making inferences.Today I am going to give you 2 examples to teach you how to use this strategy.

This is a tip use clues. Clues stand for

Character motive
Left out information
Understand the characters point of view
Empathise with the author
Symbolism


example 1 : The Fisherman 

Although I can see him still—

The freckled man who goes

To a gray place on a hill

In gray Connemara clothes

At dawn to cast his flies—

It's long since I began

To call up to the eyes

This wise and simple man.   

All day I'd looked in the face   

What I had hoped it would be   

To write for my own race   

And the reality:   

The living men that I hate,   

The dead man that I loved,   

The craven man in his seat,   

The insolent unreproved—

And no knave brought to book   

Who has won a drunken cheer—

The witty man and his joke   

Aimed at the commonest ear,   

The clever man who cries   

The catch cries of the clown,   

The beating down of the wise   

And great Art beaten down.

Maybe a twelve-month since

Suddenly I began,

In scorn of this audience,

Imagining a man,

And his sun-freckled face

And gray Connemara cloth,

Climbing up to a place

Where stone is dark with froth,

And the down turn of his wrist

When the flies drop in the stream—

Jesse's argument- Why new zealand shouldn't change its flag. 

John key is our prime minister but when he want's to change our flag, People are going to take a stand.Now im going to give you resons why I think we shouldn't change our flag.If this goes ahead what will we change it to & why.Secound it costs a lot of money when it could go to places like christchurch to repair the city & to help out because stuff like floods could happen! If we do change the flag we will have to change our suveners like the kiwi with the flag!

Lines - the blue lake - for effectiveness I would rate it an 8/10 because most of it is dark/bold but some of It is painted over

Colours - the grass,mountains and the sky - for effectiveness I would rate it an 9/10 because it's not the right colour of the sky and sun

Tone - the grass,mountains,sky and sun - for effectiveness I would rate it an excellent 10/10 because it's all the different shads of green the only thing that's not green is the lake

Shape - the lake,sky,grass,mountains and sun - for effectiveness I would rate it an excellent 10/10 because it's all very simple and basic

Overall - I would vote the best thing out of the four choices is Tone because it's all green so I think I did the best painting I could do =)
