end of term reflection

Its the end of term one and i'm going to reflect on how my learning has been.

The area of my learning that I have made the most progress on is my maths because I didn't know what anything about the topic so I didn't know the answers.

The area I want to improve on next term is my writing because I'm on the right track but I need to get better because I need to get a higher standed on writing.

For writing we have been writing narratives.
here's a sample

It was the morning before my first day ever at and in high school, I was running around the house to get everything ready for the next day. I was so excited the day flow by, I was running to the space were my very last was. I didn't know where it is, I ran around the house to find it. It was missing?

That was my first few lines. I'm so sorry to leave you on a cliff hanger but I didn't want to give too much away.

The law is like rules to a game, if you don't follow them, your not going to have a good time.If you don't follow them you could get a fine,be arested or worst. For example if you got a fine for driving and don't pay it you could get a bigger fine or loss your licent.If you stell you could get a fine or be banned from that shop.

math strategy

For the last few weeks I have been learning a math strategy called use equations to represent a practical situation.I am going to give you 2 example.

There were f frogs in a bank 29 left how many are there

f = frogs 24 left there's a hint so the answer is f-24 because f frog left, left = minus - so the answer is f-24

reading strategy

For the last few weeks I have been learning a reading strategy called making inferences.Today I am going to give you 2 examples to teach you how to use this strategy.

This is a tip use clues. Clues stand for

Character motive
Left out information
Understand the characters point of view
Empathise with the author
Symbolism


example 1 : The Fisherman 

Although I can see him still—

The freckled man who goes

To a gray place on a hill

In gray Connemara clothes

At dawn to cast his flies—

It's long since I began

To call up to the eyes

This wise and simple man.   

All day I'd looked in the face   

What I had hoped it would be   

To write for my own race   

And the reality:   

The living men that I hate,   

The dead man that I loved,   

The craven man in his seat,   

The insolent unreproved—

And no knave brought to book   

Who has won a drunken cheer—

The witty man and his joke   

Aimed at the commonest ear,   

The clever man who cries   

The catch cries of the clown,   

The beating down of the wise   

And great Art beaten down.

Maybe a twelve-month since

Suddenly I began,

In scorn of this audience,

Imagining a man,

And his sun-freckled face

And gray Connemara cloth,

Climbing up to a place

Where stone is dark with froth,

And the down turn of his wrist

When the flies drop in the stream—

A man who does not exist,   

A man who is but a dream;   

And cried, “Before I am old   

I shall have written him one   

Poem maybe as cold   

And passionate as the dawn.”
